She was born February 11, 1921 in Greenwood, MS the daughter of Henry J. Green Sr. and Annie Mae (Jane) Green. Josie was a graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, TN. She married her late Husband of 45 Years: Johnny Williams and moved to Detroit where she resided until Johnny died in 1990. Josie is survived by sister: Ozella Marshall of Battle Creek, MI; Niece: Patricia Ann Pointer of Kalamazoo, MI; great nephews: Adonis Pointer, Andre Pointer and Alonzo Pointer; A host of Great-Great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister: Delores Green; brother: Henry J. Green Jr.; brother-In-Law: Lonnie Marshall; niece: Diane Bradford. Josie enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Battle Creek Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she served in the Women's Ministry, order supplies for potluck dinners and worked on bags for the children.
