Marriage - John C. H. Abbuehl, aged 23, born 1875, the son of John Abbuehl and Mina Wiese, and Catherine S. Boyle, aged 22, born 1876, the daughter of James Boyle and Katharina M. Young, were married on June 18, 1898 in Brooklyn, New York.

John was a former professional musician who later worked in the banking industry. In 1894, John was sergeant-at-arms for the Brooklyn Oriole Musical Club. He performed at the Suffolk Home in Yaphank in 1952, pantomiming and playing the tuberphone, or orchestra bells in a vaudeville-style show for the patients and members of the staff of the home.

Obituary - John C. Abbuehl, 88, of 101 Morris Avenue, Patchogue, died yesterday at his home. Born in Fairfield, N.J., he had lived in Patchogue for 37 years. He was a retired bank guard for the Morgan Guarantee Trust Company of New York City. He was a member of the Patchogue Congregational Church, and a member of the Morgan Guarantee Trust Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Therese of Patchogue. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Ruland's Funeral Home, Patchogue, the Rev. Stuart W. Van Cott, pastor of the Patchogue Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue.
