Graveside rites for Mrs. Vergie Nugent Pack, 92, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Beckley, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Highlawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with the Rev. William Kieldsing in charge. Funeral services were held Thursday in Ocala.
Mrs. Pack died Wednesday at her home.
She and her husband, the late Allen Pack, owned and operated the Old Union Cash Store on Heber Street for several years.
Born Feb. 13, 1876 at Kanawha Falls, she had lived in Ocala since 1947.
Surviviors include a son, Allen Pack Jr. of Ocala; eight daughter (sic), Mrs. Flor Moran and Mrs. Josephine Batton, both of Ocala, Mrs. Bobbie Weaver and Mrs. R. C. Sweeney, both of Charleston, Mrs. H. L. Lucas of Leesburg, Fla., Mrs. John D. Millikan of Galveston, Tex., Mrs. Earl Bragg of Royal Oakes, Mich., and Mrs. Irene (sic, Creve) C. Maples of Beckley; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
