Harry was born in Fresno, CA on July 11, 1925 and died in Las Vegas, NV on Tuesday, February 24, 2004.

Mr. Abbott lived in Fresno most of his life, residing in Death Valley, CA the past 5 years.

Harry served his country in the U.S. Navy during world War II, enlisting in 1942 and receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. During this time, he served in both Hawaii and Alaska.

Harry returned from the war to work at Sears, later opening a Mobil service station at the corner of Shaw and Maroa.

His next career combined his love of gardening with a move to Death Valley, where he was employee by Furnace Creek Resorts. His own yard and business yards ere admired by many.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Susan Lorena of Fresno; a son, John Michael of St Helena, CA, brothers. Harold Ramer of Coos Bay, OR, Leonard Abbott of Fresno, and Richard Abbott of southern CA; sister, Margaret Abbott; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private burial was held a the Southern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada on March 3, 2004.
