Jimmy Leroy Parrott, 62, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on September 19, 1949, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Bennie Eugene and Katie Elizabeth Sligh Parrott. He was a member of Cannon's Creek Prosperity ARP Church.
Mr. Parrott is survived by a sister, Rose Neal; a niece, Evelyn (John) Rankin; great niece, Vicky (Edgar) Lindler; great-nephew, Keith (Kayla) Rankin and great-great nephew, Ethan Lindler.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, August 24, 2012, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gary Pierstorff. Burial will will follow in Cannon's Creek Prosperity ARP Church Cemetery. The family is at the home of Vicky & Edgar Lindler 157 Caldwell Drive, Prosperity and they will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church at 14417 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Eddie Bundrick, Kenneth Bundrick, Edgar Lindler, Tommy Nichols, John Pugh and Moses Rembert.
