Maxamillan and his wife Magdalena Kramer came to the U.S from Treves, Prussia. He was nationalized Oct 1859, his census records reveals that he went by the last name of Adens, Alhuis and Elenz, possibly running from others or maybe just the way that the census takers wrote his last name? They lived on 1447 Orchard St. at the time of death. This was the father of 15 children with 11 living. These are the ones that I have found. A great grandson of theirs has informed me that there are a lot of deaths in this family so if children died right after birth it wasn't talked of to others. Therefore maybe not written down either.
