World famous stunt parachutist known as the 'Fan Man'.Miller was a graduate of the University of Alaska Juneau with an Associate's degree in computers. Miller's most famous stunt happened occurred November 6, 1993 during the heavyweight title fight between Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Caesar's Palace. Miller descended onto the ring apron during second the seventh round of the televised fight. The lines of his paraglider parachute became tangled in the overhead lights. He landed on the top rope of the ring and hung on with one foot and one hand to the top rope was dragged down into the crowd by ringside security and spectators. He was knocked unconscious by a security officer who struck Miller twenty times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was later charged by Clark County law enforcement with dangerous flying and released on $200 bail. Later famed stunts by Miller included one in January 1994 when Miller flew into a Denver Broncos-Los Angeles Raiders NFL football game at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. He was arrested for interfering with a sporting event. In February 1994, Miller skydived into the middle of a Bolton Wanderers-Arsenal Premier League soccer match at Burnden Park in Bolton, England. Miller also paraglided to the top of Buckingham Palace in London, painting himself green and painting his private parts with glow-in-the-dark paint. He was arrested and later deported by British authorities. Miller later suffered from heart disease, underwent heart surgery twice and committed suicide in the Alaskan wilderness due to declining health. Survived by his younger brother and a daughter. Nobody knew Miller had died until ESPN did a story on 'Fan Man' on the ten year anniversary of his Las Vegas parachute stunt.
