Long-time resident of Dadeville, AL, D. D. Endicott, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center. Born in Shelbyville, Indiana on February 3, 1926, D. D. moved to StillWaters with wife, Skipper, in 1973 where they lived joyfully together until her death in 2010. They attended New Covenant Church in Dadeville. Warm and friendly to all he met, D.D.'s infectious personality drew many to his circle of friends.

He was a rock, strengthening family and friends with his wisdom and wit. He loved a good joke and usually had one ready to brighten a day.

Sharing in the celebration of his life and love are daughters Karen E. Alford (Luke), Dale E. Tippin (Rick) and son Damon E. Endicott (Sarah), cousin Pat Camp of Chattanooga, TN., 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, treasured nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

The family wishes to thank the community for warmly embracing all of us through the years. Funeral service was Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Alabama Funeral Homes.

Burial at Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens, Pastor Ronnie Jennings officiating. In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations be made to New Covenant Church,
