Vincent Cozzi
SAN DIEGO - Vincent Cozzi, 71, died Feb. 1, 2000, in San Diego. Mr. Cozzi was born in Modugno (Bari), Italy, and moved to the United States with his wife, Marion, in 1952. He was the operator of Jimmy’s Grotto on East Main Street in Waukesha after his father-in-law, Jimmy Ruccia, retired. After that he owned and operated Vince’s Villa, having two Waukesha locations: one on Summit Avenue and one on Sunset Drive. In 1973 he moved from Waukesha to Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), Calif., where he continued his success in the restaurant business. Of his many business achievements he also owned and operated a restaurant in El Cajon, Calif., was a maitre d’ at Vacation Village, San Diego, was dining room manager at Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, and dining room manager at the Officer’s Club at NAS Miramar in San Diego.

Mr. Cozzi is survived by his wife, Marion Cozzi, of Rancho Bernardo, Calif.; sons Nicholas of Greenville, N.C., Jim of Detroit, and Mario of Valley Center, Calif.; brothers Vito of Bari, Italy, and Mario of Modugno, Italy; and three grandchildren, Alex, Anthony and Austin.

Mr. Cozzi was a member of the Italian Social Club in his area and of the Westwood Social Club in Rancho Bernardo.
