Services for Sue Ragan Hampton will be Tuesday at 4:00 PM from the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ronald Brown officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.


Mrs. Hampton died Sunday at the Vanderbilt Hospital at Nashville, Tennessee.


She was born in Hardeman County and she had lived most of her life in Madison County. She was the daughter of the late J. T. and Laura Orean Cleary Ragan.


Mrs. Hampton had been an employee of Madison County for 30 years. She was a Deputy Clerk for the Madison County Court Clerk. She attended West Tennessee Business College, was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She was a member of the Democratic Executive Committee and she has served as a volunteer for the community.


She is survived by her husband, Hillard Hampton; two sons, Michael Hampton of Bemis and Jay Hampton of Pinson; two sisters, Brenda Olstad of Moorhead, Minn and Gena Murchison of Pinson; a brother, Ronnie Ragan of Bemis; two aunts, Delia Ragan Holloway and Ola Cleary Pratt, both of Jackson; an uncle, Warren Cleary and his wife Virginia of Jackson.
