1943 June 6 - James Dewey Hinkle, son of Dewey Cecil Hinkle and Lorene Margeret May (Selle) Hinkle, was born at 3:00 P.M. in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. His father was serving in the United States Army at the time of the birth of James.
1958 June 29 - James Dewey Hinkle was baptized at New Salem Baptist Church by Rev. Ronald Prindle.
1961 May - James Dewey Hinkle graduated from Fort Osage R-1 School District, Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
1962 February 24th, James married Shirley Marie Messmer at New Salem Baptist Church, Marriage was performed by Rev. Ronald Prindle. Jim and Shirley were divorced on 22 January 1964 in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
1966 August 13th, Initiated as a Entered Apprentice at Independence, Missouri Masonic Lodge # 76, along with my dad.
1966 September 6 Tuesday 6:00 p.m. - James Dewey Hinkle and Connie Jenkins were married by Reverend Clyde McCormick at New Salem Baptist Church in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.

1970 May 13 - Jim joined the Fort Osage Fire Department, serving as a volunteer fire fighter, advancing thru the ranks to the position of Assistant Chief in charge of Ambulance Services, under fire Chief Jack Snead, to Chief Dispatcher for the department. Served on the department thru five Chiefs and three name changes for the Fire Department, resigning on October 13, 1978.

1978 August 2 Buckner local paper, Buckner, Jackson County, Missouri, page 4 - James Hinkle, Coordinator - A change in the Osage Fire Protection District Civil Defense Coordinator has been made. The new coordinator is Mr. James Hinkle.
1978 September 2 - Jim received Student Pilot Certificate number AA-7268369 Certified Flight Instructor was Mr. Jim Stever.

Connie passed away at 8:02 p.m. at home with both their daughters, Tracy and Michele in attendance along with his sisters, Catherine and Joyce, niece, Jennifer, her sister Marcella, and two workers (RN's) from Crossroads Hospice.
