1966 September 6 Tuesday 6:00 p.m. - James Dewey Hinkle and Connie Jenkins were married by Reverend Clyde McCormick at New Salem Baptist Church in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
1968 December 4 - Jim and Connie Hinkle's daughter, Tracy Lynn Hinkle was born at Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
1970 May 13 - Jim joined the Fort Osage Fire Department, serving as a volunteer fire fighter, advancing thru the ranks to the position of Assistant Chief in charge of Ambulance Services, under fire Chief Jack Snead, to Chief Dispatcher for the department. Served on the department thru five Chiefs and three name changes for the Fire Department, resigning on October 13, 1978.
1974 January 16 - Jim and Connie Hinkle welcomed their new foster daughter, Michelle Kathleen Samantha Foster into their home. Michelle was born November 29, 1973 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
1978 August 2 Buckner local paper, Buckner, Jackson County, Missouri, page 4 - James Hinkle, Coordinator - A change in the Osage Fire Protection District Civil Defense Coordinator has been made. The new coordinator is Mr. James Hinkle.
1978 September 2 - Jim received Student Pilot Certificate number AA-7268369 Certified Flight Instructor was Mr. Jim Stever.
1978 December 17 - Jim received endorsement, Pilot flight checked in a Cessna 152 and found competent for solo flights.

Connie passed away at 8:02 p.m. at home with both their daughters, Tracy and Michele in attendance along with his sisters, Catherine and Joyce, niece, Jennifer, her sister Marcella, and two workers (RN's) from Crossroads Hospice.
