Bill O. Montoya, 70, was born in Estancia, New Mexico, on September 19, 1933. A resident of Albuquerque, he passed away July 10, 2004. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Bill is survived by his wife, Genevieve, of 52 years; his daughter Virginia Chavez and husband Joe; four sons, Roland and wife Deborah, Gene, John and wife Rose and Gerald; four granddaughters, Revea, Elisha, Kassondra and Natalie; three grandsons, Roland II, Carlos and Joshua; four great grandchildren, Roland III, Monica, Angelique, and Brandon; sister Louise Padilla and husband Dan; two brothers, Max Sanchez, and Eloy Montoya and wife Dorothy. Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 10:00am with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Roland Montoya II, Carlos Montoya, Joshua Chavez and nephews, Cruz Baca, Louis Sanchez and Eloy Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Barboa, Jim Roybal, Leo Candelaria, Sam Cox, Don Scott, and Walter Duran.
