Funeral services for Greg Pridgen, 48, of Gurnee, IL will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 9, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Rick McFerrin and Rev. Larry Ferris will be officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Greg was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of West Monroe and served in the US Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, a leader and trendsetter, well known for his love of rockabilly style and music. Greg was first and foremost a family man, devoted to his wife, children, parents and sister, and never let the miles separate their hearts.

Greg is survived by his wife; Janet Marie Pridgen; children; Justice Noelle and Jake Everette Lee Pridgen; parents, Carson and Ashley Johnson Pridgen; sister, Gretchen Pridgen; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Judy Tansley; sister-in-law, Heidi Tansley; brother-in-law, John Tansley and wife Delma; niece, Katie Tansley; uncle, Noel Johnson and wife Tammy and their daughters, Haley Martin and Kacey Eppinette; special cousin and friend, Scott Johnson; numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Everette A. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Pridgen.

Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, John Tansley, Rev. William Burtt, Joey Hart, Al Newkirk, Bobby Tickner, Ken Walker, and Jack Windham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Tansley, Noel Johnson, David Johnson, Dr. Harold C. "Buck" Bounds, David Roark, Jerry Roark, Mike Roark and Robin Roark.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
