Historical Note: Martha Jane Byrd (Virgie's mother) was a daughter of my 3rd great grandparents: James M Byrd and Elizabeth Bevers-Byrd. Solomon Washington Suther Sr was 2nd husband of Martha Jane Byrd-Cochran (whom first married John W Cochran whom may have died ca 1857-1860). She remarried to Solomon Washington Suther Sr in Oct 1861 in Hunt county, Texas.
