He lived a number of years in the Denver area of Colorado. He met his wife Ione and they married in Denver. He worked and had his home in Denver until he retired in 1983, when the family then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, where they lived until 2007, bringing them back to their home state to live
Bob passed about three months apart from his wife Ione Russum. Passing on July 16th 2012. He is buried with his wife Ione in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver , Colorado
