Man dies in gravel pit mishap Friday
Turkey Creek-J.B. Forsyth, 53, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday as a result of an accident which occurred at the Gifford-Hill gravel pit here.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Baptist Church of Turkey Creek. The body will remain at the residence until time of the services.
The Rev. P.L. Hoyt will officiate. Graveside Masonic rites will be held at Turkey Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Mr. Forsyth was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 254 F. & A.M. of Forest Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Ploud Forsyth; two brothers, J.O. Forsyth of Kinder and John C. Forsyth of Lake Charles, and one sister, Mrs. Inez Young of Lake Charles.
