Adeline June Hladik, 69 of Harrison, passed away Friday, December 5, 2003 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Hladik was born January 3, 1934 in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Paul J. and Theophilus C. (Pauley) Sheets.
Adeline had resided in the Harrison area most of her life. She was united in marriage to Steve Hladik, Jr. on May 11. 1972 in Coleman, Michigan. Mrs. Hladik was preceded in death by her husband on February 20, 2002. Adeline enjoyed singing Karaoke and spending time with her family.
Surviving are one son, Steve P. Hladik, III and fiancee Julie of Harrison; three daughters, Carlinda L. Cicsla and husband Thomas of Bay City, Michigan, Kathleen A. Seamont and husband Paul of Harrison and Barbara M. Hladik also of Harrison; four brothers:froud Wayne Sheets and wife Barbara, David Sheets of Traverse City, Michigan, Phillips Sheets and wife Judy of Ludington, Michigan and Bruce Sheets and wife Judy of Interlochen, Michigan; one sister, Evelyn Lee and husband L.J. of Marion; one sister-in-law, Mary Sheets of Alma; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hladik also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Paul Sheets and one sister, Sandra Merritt.
Memorial services for Mrs. Hladik will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison. Arrangements were entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. (The Clare County Cleaver – Harrison, MI – 18 December 2003)
