Gustav Adam, 78, formerly of R. 4, Sheboygan, who resided at the Morningside Nursing Home here for the past several months, died of a sudden heart attack shortly before 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Adam collapsed and died on the sidewalk on N. 13th St., between Huron and Superior Avenues while walking to his doctor's office. He was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital in the police ambulance, but was pronounced dead upon entry.
Born in Germany on June 16, 1875, he came to this city as a young man and married the former Anna Kuhlow in 1896 at Sheboygan Falls. The couple always lived in Sheboygan. Mrs. Adam died Nov. 8, 1918.
Surviving are three sons, Arthur, Milton and John, Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. Julius (Augusta) Wilke, R. 4, Sheboygan; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two sons and a daughter preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ramm Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Lehman of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church officiating. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 this evening until the time of services Saturday afternoon.
