Robert Quincey Barjenbruch, age 70, life long resident of Collingsworth County, died Wednesday, October 4, 1995 in Amarillo.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 1995 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Tims, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Leon Hartman, Cliff Hartman, Jimmy Patterson, Marvin Knoll, Joe Peters and Dan Guthrie.
Mr. Barjenbruch was born March 14, 1925 in the Houselog Community of Collingsworth County to John and Eunice Crim Barjenbruch.
He graduated from Wellington High School in 1942. He was a veteran of WW II. He served in the Army in the Pacific Theater.
He married Kathryn Potter June 2, 1962 in Petersburg.
He was a farmer and member of the VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church. He managed the Wellington Gin for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, of the home; a son, Mike Barjenbruch of Kingwood; a brother, William (Doc) Barjenbruch of Wellington; two grandchildren, Rob and Erica Barjenbruch, both of Kingwood and a nephew, John Barjenbruch of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrie Barjenbruch and by a brother, Boyd Barjenbruch.
