After leaving his hometown of Faber, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a member of the Marine Corp Band. He went on to be a very successful State General Agent for the American Income Life Insurance Company in Alaska, and most recently worked as an English teacher overseas.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his former wife; and his children, Ryan, Brandy, Ty and Taryn; and granddaughter, Aina; and brothers, Dan and John Conner.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday August 4, 2012, at Rock Spring United Methodist Church in Faber, with the Reverend Pam Baldwin officiating. Interment at a later date in Rock Spring Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel of Lovingston.
