Daren David Strahm of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Eugene, died Sept. 3 of multiple organ failure. He was 42.

Daren was born July 14, 1962, in Eugene, to Wes and Sharon Gwynn Strahm. He graduated from Churchill High School in 1980 and from the University of Oregon in 1984.

He was in the restaurant management business, and at one time was the owner of Caliente's Grill and Cantina in Ashland. His passion in life was sports. He was a fan of the UO Ducks and the New York Yankees, coached Little League basketball and baseball and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his parents and one brother, Douglas of Medford.

Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene was in charge of arrangements.
