Laura was born December 28, 1920 in Saginaw Mo. daughter of the late Harry Hailey and Nellie Moser Hailey. She attended Joplin Schools, and was a homemeaer. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed participating in Tai Chi with her friends.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Jing" Stockam, son in law Jimmy Speakes, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, George Stockam and wife Mary of Webb City, a daughter, Sue Speakes of Truman, Arkansas, sister Helen ullins of Webb City, grandchildren, Kathy Large, Ricky Joe Speakes, Randy Lee Speakes and Lonne Stockam, great grandchildren, Jessi, Josh and Caleb.
Funeral services will be Frday August 3, 2012 in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Jim Spockam officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.with Steve Stockam, Dave Stockam, Nick Stadler, Daniel Stadler, Sonny Loggains, and Henry Coleman serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary from 9a.m. until service time on Friday at Parker Mortuary.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice Home, 1148 Matthews Ave. Jonesburg Arkansas 72401.
