Harry Allen Eckert "Bud", age 81, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2012, at St. Mary Hospital.

Born in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Bristol, he was a graduate of Bristol High School. He was a United States Marine Corp. veteran who served during the Korean War. Upon his return home he met and married the love of his life "Nona."

He was a retiree of the Bensalem School District where he worked in the field of heating and cooling; domestic, commercial and industrial. After the death of his beloved wife he devoted his remaining years to spending time with his children.

He enjoyed competitive darts, and in his younger years he raced cars. He was also involved in the early NASCAR circuit, and more recently he loved being "crew chief" for his son's racing crew.

He was predeceased by his extraordinary wife Nona who he would credit with bringing meaning and success to his life, and his son-in-law Fred.

He will be greatly missed by his children Erin Cerwonka and her fiancée Steve of Boynton Beach, FL, and Eric and his wife Patricia of Yardley. His grandchildren that he adored Stephanie, Freddie, and Julia; and his 3 step-children Florence, Edwin, and Colleen.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wed., 6-8pm, and Thurs., 9-10am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA. Funeral Mass 10:30am on Thursday at St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007.
