Retired US Navy-20 year veteran of WWII, Korean War, and Pacific World Wide. member of Fleet Reserve and Moose Lodge. After retiring from Navy- owned business Sea Systems of Pasadena CA, a computer science service mainly for the govt. Resided in San Diego for several years, then moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1980. Military Funeral was held.

Service at Palm Mortuary in Henderson NV. with full honors. Taps, Folding of the Flag, and 21 gun salute. "Navy Hymn". "I'll Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. A private service will be held by sons, George and Robert with tossing the floral anchor overboard in the Pacific Ocean, Jan 24, 1994.

Loyd attended Brighton #8 in Cass County IA through 8th Grade. then stayed with his grandparents, Fred & Sophia Paulsen at 407 W 7th St, Atlantic IA while attending High School, graduating in 1935.

He then went to Cincinnati OH where he lived with his Aunt Bertha & Uncle Clarke Trimble, attending two years at U of Cincinnati. Upon completion he enlisted in the US Navy serving 20 years, retiring as Chief Petty Officer in March 17, 1958. Employed by General Dynamics in Glendale CA for 9 years. PresiIdent of his own company from 1967-1974, Seas Systems in Pasadena CA. Employed by Computer Sciences career as design engineer from 1974 -1978. Ended career as design engineer for Gould Inc in San Diego CA 1978-1979.

Lloyd was previously married to Irene Geraldine Adams on January 29, 1945, Phoenix AZ, and to Jean Willy Holman in December 1952.
