MORRISDALE - Agnes Marie Adams, 89, of Morrisdale and a guest at Windy Hill Village of the Presbyterian Homes, Philipsburg, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the village.
Born Sept. 4, 1921, at Oak Grove, she was a daughter of Harry W. and Mary (Gavlock) Borovichka.
Mrs. Adams was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale, where she was past president of the St. Agnes Rosary Society.
During World War II, she had worked for Learner's Clothing Factory, Philipsburg.
She was a homemaker.
On Sept. 13, 1946, she wed George Adams, who died Oct. 7, 1992.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen Miller of Westerly, R.I., and Dorothy Jean O'Dell and her husband, Edwin, of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Veronica Dehaver, Margaret Ollinger and infant MaryEllen Borovichka; three brothers, Mitch and infants Joe and John; and a nephew, William Andrews, whom she cared for and raised.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Romas Catholic Church Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m., with Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant.
Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Friends will be received at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 10-10:50 a.m.
