In a letter dated August 10, 1945 the Graceland Cemetery in Chicago Illinois wrote to Miriam Parker Weeks: Dear Madam your letter of the eighth inst. Re: burial place Charity B. Walker et. al. to hand. We are pleased to advise you in reply as follows: Charity B. Walker's remains were interred in Graceland Cemetery Feb. 24, 1865 in the cemetery lot possessed by James M. Walker. Her headstone has the following inscription: Charity B. Walker born July 3, 1784 died March 30, 1858. James M. Walker was buried here in his lot number 266 and section D on January 24, 1881 the remains of his wife Ella M. Walker were interred beside him on April 21, 1916.
