Born May 04, 1922, in Daviess, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna O'Connor Oberst.
She entered the Sister's of St. Benedict of Ferdinand from Washington in 1954. She made her first profession of vows in 1956 and her final profession in 1959. She taught at St.Ferdinand High School in Ferdinand, St Mary School in Huntington, Sister Peter and Paul in Haubstadt, and Holy Redeemer and Christ The King in Evansville. She worked in the development office and served as a teacher and the director of information services at the Marian Heights Academy in Ferdinand. She was the mail clerk at the monastery, worked in support services, and served in the ministry of prayer.
Surviving are three sisters, Catherine Hill and Mary Pride, both of Washington, and Teresa Keller of Bloomington; neices and nephews; and members of the religious community. She was proceded in death by her parents and her brother, Julian.
Funeral mass will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the monastery cemetery.
