Mrs. Clara Stevenson Succumbs In Hospital
Mrs. Clara E. Stevenson, 69, of Oil City RD1, widow of Albert I. Stevenson, died at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Oil City Hospital.
Mrs. Stevenson was born in Venango County July 4, 1895, a daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Renninger.
She was a member of the Kaneville Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Missionary Society of the church.
Her husband died June 12, 1957.
Surviving are a son, Albert E. Stevenson of Oil City RD 1; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Socha of Rouseville, Mrs. Dorothy Stralka and Mrs. Ruth Burnette of Oil City, RD 1, Mrs. Geraldine Copley of Oil City and Mrs. Viola Collingwood of Indianapolis, Ind.; and 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Another daughter, Mildred L., died in 1929.
Removal was made to the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today and where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Meredith Swift, of Clarendon, former pastor of the Kaneville EUB Church, and Rev. Raymond Reed, present pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be in the Rynd Farm Cemetery.
