FRONTENAC - Kathleen R Adcock, of 301 S. Cherokee in Frontenac, died at 11:15 pm Monday, Sept. 4, 1989, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott She had entered the hospital Wednesday and had been critically ill for three days. She was born on Aug. 9 in Barton County, Mo., to John A.S. & Laura Sanderson Green. She moved to Litchfield & had lived in the Pittsburg & Frontenac area all her life. She was married to James R. Williams, and later married Jim Adcock in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Adcock had worked as a truck driver for the Hofer Truck Lines for several years. She was a active in the Frontenac schools serving in the PTA and also held membership in Teamster Union Local No. 823. She was baptized in the Methodist Church in Frontenac.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E McKay in Frontenac, with the Rev. Carl Walker III of the Assembly of God Church in Pittsburg, officiating. Burial will be in the Frontenac City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Friskel Funeral Home, & friends may call anytime after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Ruth Maus, 102 S. Wright in Frontenac.
