The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Russell P. McHenry Funeral Home, 119 Carpenter St., Dushore, Sullivan County, and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home.
Mr. Hamilton was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Clover Creek, Va. He was the son of Lula V. (Pennington) Hamilton of Brodbecks and the late Robert E. Hamilton.
He was a mechanic for Baumunk Lumber Co. in Forksville and a U.S. National Guard veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Hamilton also is survived by a son, William E. Hamilton Jr. of Cowpens, S.C.; three daughters, Karen Hamilton, Tammy Hamilton and Alicia Hamilton, all at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert C. Hamilton of Gettysburg and James L. Hamilton of Spring Grove; and two sisters, Frances G. Lookenbill of Hanover and Erma Lee Moffitt of Brodbecks.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. James A. Lewis, pastor of Middleburg United Methodist Church in Middleburg.
