Marriage - Liehr-Beck- Mrs. Marie Beck of Silver street, Patchogue, and Peter J. Liehr of Glendale were married Sunday evening in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, N.J., by the Rev. Charles C. Jaeger. An informal reception was held for the immediate families. Mr. and Mrs. Liehr are now residing in their new home, 34 Silver Street, Patchogue.
Marriage - Beck-Liehr- Mrs. Marie Liehr and Martin Beck, both of Patchogue, were married in the First Baptist church, Patchogue, Saturday by the Rev. John P. Reno. Mrs. Reno and Charles Beck, son of the bride, of Patchogue were the attendants. Mr. and Mrs. Beck will live in Patchogue.
Obituary - Marie L. Beck, 82, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Patchogue, died November 16 at her residence. Born in Germany she had lived in this area for 50 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mathilde Praetorius of Cadyville, N.Y.; Mrs. Minerva Gregas of Amherst, N.H.; and Mrs. Alberta Fiebe of Patchogue; a son, Robert Liehr of New Jersey, and two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Wohr of Patchogue and Mrs. Ernestine Raiser of Germany. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Carman Funeral Home, Patchogue, with the Rev. John E. Southard officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue.
