During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. In 2000, Pat was presented with five service medals at his home in Newmarket.
He was employed at Gallant Mfg. Co. for many years.
He was a member of the American Citizens Club of Polish Descent, the Catholic Order of Foresters, a 40-year member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Post 67, and a communicant of St. Mary Church.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanne Dziedzic in 1970, by a son, Bruce R. Dziedzic in 1975, by three brothers, Walter, John and Daniel, and by his sisters, Aniela Wojnar, Dorothy Bizinski, Stephanie Olszanowski, Catherine Zwearcan, Anna Shufelt and Helen Cassano.
Pat is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita (Rousseau) Dziedzic of Newmarket; two daughters, Alice Vlodica and her husband, Allen (Mike) of Newmarket, and Donna Aube and her husband, James, of Farmington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Birmingham of Newmarket; a special niece, Rosemary Wojnar and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dover Rehab for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Robert and his family.
Visiting hours will be held at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket, on Friday from 9-11:30am. At 11:30am there will be a wake service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
