Deceased Name: Phil Keller Bell

Phil Keller Bell, 87, passed away March
16, 2007, in Quincy, WA. He was born
August 31, 1919, in Mink Creek, ID to Carrie Mabel and James Hyrum Bell. Phil attended Utah Agricultural College (now Utah State University) and Ricks College. At Ricks, he met and later married LRa Vallene Dunkley January 14, 1942, in the Logan, UT LDS Temple. Phil and Vallene farmed in Mink Creek, Terreton and Kuna, ID; then moved to Quincy in 1958. They operated a dairy and farmed in Quincy, where Phil also worked for the City of Quincy at the Water Treatment Plant. Phil was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was serving as Stake Patriarch at the time of his death. Phil was greatly loved by his family and friends, young and old alike and always enjoyed a good laugh. We are certain, those good times will continue as he meets his friends and family who have gone on before.
Phil was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Vallene;
his parents; and his siblings, Ellen, Theo, Nellie, Darrell, Zella
Susie and Jim. He is survived by his eight children, Pat (Carl)
Clark of West Jordan, UT, Sharon (Richard) Oram of Redmond
WA, Phil (Karen) Bell of Washougal, WA, Daurell (Jana) Bell of
Sammamish, WA, Barbara (Keith) Simon of Maple Valley, WA
David Bell of Lakeland, WA, Paul Bell of Okanogan, WA and
Morris Bell of Salt Lake City, UT. Phil is also survived by 26
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, at
10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Quincy. The family will receive friends before the service in the Relief Society Room from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Conducting, will be Bishop Alan Williamson. Concluding Services and Interment will follow in the Quincy Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy.
