Emma (Amy) Eppes Goodwyn was the daughter of Colonel Peterson and Elizabeth (Peterson) Goodwyn of Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Emma Eppes Goodwyn married Daniel E. Allen and resided in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Daniel and Amy (Goodwyn) Allen are buried at "Sweden". The inscription on her headstone reads as follows, "Inscribed to the memory of Amy Eppes Allen, wife of Daniel Allen and daughter of Col. Peterson Goodwyn, who departed this life November 1st, 1829, leaving a disconsolate husband and infant daughter to deplore the loss of an affectionate wife and tender mother."
