MEAD, MARY JEANNE Age 91 of Jackson passed away on April 22, 2012 surrounded by her family. Mary is survived by her children Charlie (Sissy) Mead, Margaret (Brad) Perkins, Jeannie Mead, Theresa (King) Kramer, and son in law Michael Stump. 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Lefere. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Dean, daughter Mary Stump and her sister, Patricia Clark. Mary was born in Jackson on February 3, 1921 to Bernard and Mary Solon. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School and from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married Dean C. Mead in 1947. She was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church where she was an original member of the choir. She taught at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Elementary School for over 28 years and after retirement was an at risk teacher at Bertha Robinson. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Father Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 6 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Queens School or St Francis Retreat in DeWitt would be appreciated
