Loving Mother, Mary Jean Ramsay is now at peace in the arms of the Heavenly Father.
Born to John and Margaret Murphy, in Binghamton, New York.
She was the eldest in a family of seven children. She is survived by sisters Marilyn Hudy (Lou), Arlene Longcoy (Tom), Therese Anthony, and sister-in-law Jeanne Murphy. She will be welcomed in heaven by her loving husband Charles L Ramsay, brothers Robert and Joseph (Phyllis), sister Eleanor (James), brothers-in-law J T O'Neil and George Anthony, and her beloved parents John and Margaret Murphy, and grandson Justin Cardiel.

Jean met the love of her life, Charles L. Ramsay while working in New York City in the heyday of the Big Band Era. They married and were blessed with eight children together: Edward (Arlene), Timothy (Lori), Margaret (John) Cardiel , Gerald (Myra), Denise (Anthony) Jones, Christopher (Regina), Alan (Norma), and Rene. Jean also had three step-children, the Late Lt. Col. Charles Ramsay USMC, Jack Ramsay and Patricia Jordan.

Jean was blessed with many beautiful, adoring grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She also enjoyed many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to Jean's extended family, she had many friends both in California and New York.

She was always a great and loyal friend and confidant who invited everyone into her home, adopting many of the neighboring kids as her own. Her devout Catholic faith was ever present and encouraging to all who needed strength. Jean's example of faith and love in Christ will continue to live through her children and grandchildren, and loving extended family.

Jean is an Guardian Angel now, loved forever. May You Rest in Peace.
