Edna Mary Anderson, 74, died on March 30, 2011 at Vitas Hospice, Darby.
Born to the late Earl B. and Ruth C. Brent Clampitt in Chester, and raised in Twin Oaks, she resided most of her life in Upper Chichester. She graduated from Upper Chichester High School in 1955. She was a bookkeeper in the accounting dept. for JC Penney for many years and in her earlier years she worked for Scott Paper.
Edna was a member of Upper Chichester Seniors Club, St. John Fisher Seniors and American Legion 951 in Ogden. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, was an avid book reader and recently started playing shuffleboard, but most of all she enjoyed being a grandmother.
Edna is preceded in death by husband, Harry Anderson who, died in 2000 and daughter, Ruth Ellis, who died in 2009.
Survivors: Daughter, Geri Irwin Clem and husband Richard of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four half-brothers, Jimmy, Charles, Larry and Harry Clampitt, all of S.C.; also four grandchildren, Avalon, Richard and Morgan Clem of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Amanda Ellis of Twin Oaks.
Funeral Service: Noon Monday at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley.
Visitation: 11 a.m. to noon Monday at funeral home.
Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
