Harry W. "Sonny" Anderson, 65, of Twin Oaks, Upper Chichester, a former paper mill mechanic, died Aug. 25 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Anderson was raised in Folsom, Ridley Township. A 38-year resident of Twin Oaks, he also lived in St. Helena Island, S.C.
Before retiring, Mr. Anderson worked 20 years as a mechanic, maintaining paper-mill machines for Scott Paper in Chester.
He was a 32-degree Mason of Concord Lodge No. 625 F. & A.M. Mr. Anderson also belonged to the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Boothwyn, Upper Chichester, and the Beaufort Methodist Church in Beaufort, S.C.
He served in the Marines as well as the Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Edna M. Anderson daughters, Geri Irwin Clem of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ruth M. Ellis of Twin Oaks, with whom he lived brother, William Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla. sister, Joan Sappienza of Sarasota, Fla.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2655 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn.
Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
