Barbara was the first child born to Alma and Arverna Theurer. She was born in Logan, Utah, on March 17, 1913, but spent her youth growing upon the family dry farm, which her father operated and was located in the small community of Blue Creek. Later the family moved to Tremonton where she lived until beginning college in Logan. She shared wonderful memories of these early childhood experiences with her siblings throughout her life.
At 17 Barbara enrolled at USAC which later became USU. She graduated with a degree in 1934 when she married and started her family. She taught elementary school for many years throughout Cache County until retiring. Barbara enjoyed both domestic and foreign travel and visited many of the world's wonders with friends and family.
Along with her many qualities, she will be remembered for her beautiful needlework and her wonderful homemade candy. Her needlework adorns the walls in all the homes of her family members and her chocolates and pecan rolls still provide warm memories at Christmas.
Barbara will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, at the Logan City Cemetery in the family plot next to her husband of 67 years, Clarence G. Stucki. There will be a brief graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Intermountain Homecare Hospice along with your prayers and loving thoughts for our mom.
