Mrs Sabrina J Hazen, widow of Newton N Hazen, died at 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon at her home in Sparrowbush, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of five months.
She was 57 years of age and was born in Port Jervis, NY; her parents being Mr. & Mrs. Levi DeWitt.
She was married twice, her first husband being Mr. James Kent, to whom she was married 38 years ago. In 1818 she was married to Mr. Newton N Hazen, whose death occurred on October 26, 1913 in Sparrowbush.
Surviving relatives are four brothers, Edward and Charles of Sparrowbush, Frank of Rochester, NY and Elmer of Norwich, NY; her mother, Mrs Elizabeth DeWitt of Sparrowbush; 4 sons - Edward Kent of Hammon, Ind; Arthur of Eantor, PA., James Kent of Sparrowbush; Allen Hazen of Sparrowbush; six daughters - Elizabeth Kent of Sparrowbush, Alice, Grace and Helen Hazen of Sparrrowbush, Mrs Frank Adams of Sparrowbush, Mrs Robert Hamilton of Port Jervis, NY.
The funeral was held at the house in Sparrowbush on Saturday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Rev H S Wise conducted the service and interment was in Sparrowbush Cemetery
