Dorothy was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on November 1, 1916. She married Robert Schroeder on November 1, 1949 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Shortly thereafter, the two moved to San Diego, California and made it their permanent home. Both Robert and Dorothy were consistently active in providing service, support, and materials to the less fortunate in San Diego. They are also well known for their devotion and sacrifices to their children and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by two children: John Schroeder and Diane Svendsen, two grandchildren: Angela Hertica and Jared Svendsen, and three great-grandchildren: Kylie and Kaleb Hertica, and Haley Svendsen.
