A postal employe apparently died of natural causes Monday morning while making deliveries on Placer Road near Sunny Valley.
Freda Faye Criteser, 61, of 1187 Placer Road, Sunny Valley, possibly suffered a heart attack.
Residents of the area attempted to revive her but she was dead on the arrival of an ambulance, according to a Josephine County sheriff's deputy.
She was a contract mail carrier for the postal service, and was making deliveries in her own imported pickup when she pulled off the road and switched off the ignition, the deputy said.
