Just two weeks after the death of his step-mother, Mrs. Freeman Merryman, Royal Howard Merryman died Wednesday morning at twelve-thirty o'clock of cancer.
Royal H. Merryman was thirty-three years of age. For the past four years he had been living on a farm near Axtell. He came home in December and then returned to the farm, but again came home in February and remained at home until his death. He suffered great agony since February and was near death several times.
The funeral services will be held at the home of the father, Freeman Merryman a few miles southeast of Kearney tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Samuel Lynn, of the Presbyterian church of Axtell, will have charge of the service.
