Amy J. Cook, 88, of Barron died Sunday morning, Oct. 13, at the Barron hospital Skilled Nursing Home.

Mrs. Cook was born March 20, 1897, at Hayfield, Minn. She grew up in Minnesota and married John Fredrickson Feb. 8, 1917. He died in 1920. She married George Cook Oct. 20, 1920, in Chetek, Wis. He died in February, 1910. [This is how the obit reads clearly incorrectly]. They resided in Barron.

Surviving are daughters Jean Lake of Barron and Neldora Irish of Cameron; sons Raymond Cook, Charles Cook, Robert Cook and Leo Cook, all of Cameron, and George Cook of Rice Lake; 39 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; one brother Floyd Gilbertson, Hayfield, Minn.; and one sister Nora Sisek, Adams, Minn.

Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Rockman Funeral Chapel, Barron and at the church for one hour prior to services to begin Thursday, Oct. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Barron, the Rev. Wayne Espeseth officiating. Internment will be at Wayside Cemetery, Barron.
