Mary Alice Walker (1849 - 1933)
Mary A. Akin, age about 80, died at her home West of Greensburg Wednesday afternoon from infirmatives of old age. Mrs. Akin is the widow of Sam Akin who died about three years ago, and was a lady beloved by all who knew her. Burial will be in the family burial grounds Friday afternoon. She is survived by eleven children: Arch Akin, Charles Akin, Elliott Akin, Lonnie Akin, and Arvin Akin, all of Greensburg; Willie Akin of Taylor County and Jake Akin of New Albany, Ind.; four daughters, Mrs. E.E. Marcum, Mrs. Andrew Walker, and Mrs. John Biggs, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Bill Gardner of Taylor County
