Funeral services for Billy Joe Chapman, 77 of Crowville, LA will be held at Lamar Baptist Church on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:00 am with Rev. Terry Ganey, Rev. Jason Lupo and Rev. Buford Brady officiating. Interment will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial.

Billy Chapman was born on December 8, 1934 in Delhi, Louisiana and passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his Residence in Crowville. He was a farmer for 41 years, growing corn, beans, and cotton. He was an active member of Lamar Baptist Church serving as Sunday School director for 25 years and a deacon for 32 years. Billy Chapman served his country in the U. S. Army with the rank of Seargant in Armored Division during the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by:
Parents-Clifton Norman and Myrtle (Jones) Chapman
Wife-Sylvia Lucille (McVay) Chapman
Son-Kenny Chapman
Granddaughter-Allison Chapman
Brother-Marion Chapman
Sister-Emma Jean Slayton.

Son-Daren Chapman and wife Lee Ann of Crowville, LA

8 Grandchildren-Cody Chapman, Tyler Chapman, Kaleb Chapman, Kyle Thornhill, Adrienne Stroud and husband Joey, Lydia Gallagher and husband Jarred, Laura Jo Chapman, and Kristina Chapman;
