He was the son of John W. and Hilda (Droesch) Alig.

On Apr 29, 1944, he married Evelyn Barga, who survives.

He served in the Army during World War II. He worked and retired from Broderick, Muncie, IN and from farming. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, OH, and the American Legion, Portland, IN.

Funeral Mass is at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, Ohio, the Fr. Richard Walling officiating.

Burial in the Saint Anthony Cemetery.
