Kenneth was born in Long Beach and lived
there all of his life until he enlisted in the US
Marines 13 December 1965,at a Los Angeles
Recruiting Office.
Upon arriving in Vietnam Robert was assigned
to India Company,3rd Battalion,26th Marine
Regiment,3rd Marine Division.India and Lima
Companies were sent to rescue Marines from
CAC Oscar who had been ambushed earlier in
the day by a group of hostile forces,at Hill
689,5 kilometers west of Khe Sanh Combat
Base.Kenneth died as a result of a gunshot
wound to the back of the head from hostile
rifle fire,while participating in Operation
Crockett.
Survived by his parents,Kenneth A & Mary E
Millard of 1127 E Plymouth St,Long Beach,CA.
