CLAREMONT -- The funeral for Deanna
M. Ripka will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Congregational United Church of Christ
in Medford, Minn., with the Rev. G.
Dean Goebel officiating. Burial will be in
Owatonna Memorial Gardens in
Owatonna, Minn.

Mrs. Ripka, 59, of Claremont, died of
cancer Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) at her
home.

Deanna M. Molle was born Jan. 17, 1941, in Otisco Township, Waseca County, Minn. As a young adult, she helped with the operation of the family farm. In 1958, she married David Pike. They lived in Medford and divorced in 1976. She worked for OMC in Owatonna from 1969 to 1986. She was married to Eugene Ripka from 1982 to 1992, when they divorced. In 1987, they moved to Rochester, and Mrs. Ripka began working for Saint Marys Hospital. She retired because of ill health in November 1998. She moved to Claremont in August. Mrs. Ripka was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed her dog, traveling and flower gardening.

Survivors include her mother, Minnie (DeRaad) Molle of Claremont; five daughters, Dianna Moe, Karen Spinler and Patty Tipsword, all of Owatonna, Sheryl (Frank) Gasner of Kasson and Donna (Ryan ) Johnson of Ellendale, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; five brothers, John (Clarie) Molle and Henry Jr. (Blanche) Molle, both of Burlington, Wis., Edwin (Velda) Molle of Hanson, Ky., Eldert (Sharon) Molle of Glendora, Calif., and Don (Doris) Molle of Wabasha; and two sisters, Darlene (Richard) Hunt and Minnie (Arlo) Fisher, all of Claremont. Her father preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Michaelson Funeral Homes in Owatonna and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
