The death of Mr. W.J. Barwick in Atlanta last Sunday was one of the saddest in the history of the county. Mr. Barwick was a son of the late William J. Barwick of the East side of the river in this county and comes from one of the most popular and prominent families in this entire section.
Mr. Barwick left home Wednesday for Atlanta, where he went to enter the Atlanta School of Medicine. He was suddenly stricken with acute malarial fever and died within a few hours. The remains were brought back to Gethsemane Church for burial, near where Mr. Barwick was reared. He leaves to mourn his loss, four brothers and three sisters. His brothers are Messrs. D.J. Barwick of Hazelhurst, GA., G.H. Barwick of Adrian, M.W. and H.E. Barwick. His sisters are are Mrs. H.C. Jones of Dublin, Mrs. C.L. Flanders of Dothan, Ala., and Mrs. Wilson of Adrian.
Mr. Barwick had countless friends all over the county who extend sincere sympathy to his bereaved loved ones.
